Friends:
Good afternoon, all! While Corbin is asleep, I better get to this task. The clock is ticking, and his nap will end soon! Raegan is my little helper here in the kitchen (she heard that I mentioned Corbin, and she said I better mention her!).
First off, let’s say a big welcome to Kevin Pinney and Tracy Carter, who visited our class this morning. We enjoyed having you, Tracy and Kevin! We hope that you will come back and see us again next week!
Next, let’s thank the Hookham clan for bringing our donuts. Thanks, Hookhams! Next week, Matt and Jenny LaSeur are signed up. We appreciate it, LaSeurs!
I plan to send a separate reminder, but don’t forget about the Class Cookout at the Buhner home! We will meet at their place next Sunday at 4:00 p.m. We’re gonna have a great time!
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Now let’s get to our prayers and praises. Once again, praise God for the Bartram baby! Brian VanZee reported this morning that Pam and Bella are doing just fine (and so is Brian!). Please continue to pray for the Bartrams during these important first few weeks of Bella’s life.
Please pray for the Peru situation. Pray, especially, for the Guzman family as they work to rebuild so many homes, schools, and churches. Pray for support, endurance, and healing for everyone who is hurting in Peru.
Barry Sullivan has asked us to pray for his cousin, Steve Sullivan. Steve’s wife passed away about two weeks ago. She was only in her 40s. They have an 11 year-old son. Please pray for Steve, his son, and for everyone who is grieving this tragic loss.
Vince and Mary Erickson have asked us to continue to pray for their friends, Cole and Iva. Their court date last week was postponed. Please ask God to continue to strengthen Cole and Iva during this stressful time of waiting. Pray, especially, for these young kids who need a stable home.
We also need to pray for the Dominguez family. Pray, especially, for Mariah and for Gabe. We’re praying for you, Gabe!
The Lively family continues to need our prayers as well. There is a court date this week that may determine what happens with the oldest girl. Please pray for strength for Sean and Cece. Ask God to be in the lives of these little girls so that they can live the lives that God has planned for them. We’re praying for you, Sean and Cece!
Jen Burney is in Phoenix with her daughter this weekend. They will return on Tuesday. Please pray for safe travel for them.
Us Nulls have a praise this week. Corbin’s ear tube surgery last Monday went very smoothly. Please pray that he will have a healthy year all the way around.
Let’s pray for all of the teachers, parents, students, and others who are praying for another school year. Pray for us Baylor folks who will begin classes tomorrow.
Kevin Pinney has asked us to pray for his friend Charles. Charles is dealing with pancreatic cancer. Please pray for strength and healing for Charles.
Jennifer May would like for us to pray for Johnny Tye, who is the husband of the lady who owns Zach’s daycare. Johnny fell off a ladder this past week and had to have surgery. Please pray for a speedy recovery for Johnny.
Jennifer also has asked that we pray for a young girl named Liah. Liah is a very young girl who had to have surgery on her hip this past week. Please pray that Liah will get back to full health very soon.
The Rogers’ family is traveling in Austin this weekend, so we need to pray for their safe return home to Waco.
Last but not least, Courtney Walters, who has visited our church on occasion, had a car accident last weekend on her way back to Waco. She hit a deer. Courtney is going to be fine, but she needs our prayers as she tries to put this wreck behind her.
--------
I think that takes care of our update for this Sunday, everyone. As I mentioned earlier, I will send out a reminder about our Cookout later in the week. I also will send a note about the next chapter that we will be discussing in God’s Answers to Life’s Difficult Questions.
Dana and I hope that all of you have a great week. We look forward to seeing you next Sunday!
God bless,
Wes and Dana
