Update From Franci, Your Prayers

Still having fun in sunny, snowy Minnesota! Wanted to give you an update on Eddie. He's a week old now, and finally strong enough for his first heart surgery on Monday. He's doing well, but could use lots of prayers. And here's a note from his mom, Chris:

I'd like to ask you all to pray for Eddie's room mates--two little girls who are fighting their own battles. They have very nice families--we're getting to know them, since we've spent almost a week in the same big room with them. Pray for R. and S. and their families.

Thank you!

Set for Sunday

Friends:

Well, the snow has stopped here in the Land of Enchantment (otherwise known as New Mexico), but rumor has it that another storm is supposed to blow in tomorrow.

Thanks to Shawn & Shelley Buhner and Steve May, we're all set for class this Sunday morning. Dana and I won't return until early next week, but Steve has agreed to teach the class and the Buhners will be bringing snacks. We appreciate it, folks!

Dana and I hope that all of you have a great beginning to the New Year.

See you when we return,

Wes

Update and Prayer Request from Franci & Robbie

Friends:

Hello from cold, snowy, and windy New Mexico. Please continue to pray for Franci's friend and Edward, the infant who will be having multiple surgeries soon. See Francis' update below.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas!

Hello from beautiful, snowy Minnesota!

Hope the Nulls had a great Christmas! The Rogers family went flying last night, and Carter spotted Santa's sleigh on its return trip to the North Pole, just as we were about to land in Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Here's an update from my friend Chris. Baby Edward could not be airlifted, due to the weather, and was taken by ambulance to the U of M hospital. He was supposed to have heart surgery a few days ago, it had to be postponed because they think he had a seizure in the ambulance. An MRI today may shed more light on if and why that happened. The good news is that he's now breathing completely on his own, and they were able to move his IV from his head to his foot. Chris says that to look at him now, you'd wonder why he was in the hospital. Hopefully he will be stable enough for the first surgery soon. (Three are planned.)

Chris also says prayers of family, friends and strangers are sustaining her. She's all alone in this, as her husband hasn't even tried to see the baby yet. I know she's on "auto-pilot," but is in remarkably good spirits and we were able to chat (and even laugh) on the phone a bit today. We're hoping to see her (and the other four kids) tomorrow. No Bush's Chicken here in Minnesota, but we'll do our best to get them a few meals! :)

Keep those prayers coming!

Merry Christmas,

Franci, Robbie & Carter

One More Prayer Request from Franci Rogers

Hi Wes,

The Rogers family will not be in church this morning, but have a prayer request to add to the list, if that's ok.

My friend Chris (the one we've been praying for in Minnesota) had her baby yesterday. He is not doing well, and will be airlifted to the University of Minnesota Hospital (about 2.5 hours from where he was born) some time this morning. I don't have many details, except that there is something wrong with his heart. The baby's name is Edward.

Thanks for your prayers.
Franci

Merry Christmas, Other Updates

Dear Friends:

Good evening, all! Well, the big day is only two days away. I'm not sure about your house, but things are quite hectic and exciting here at the Null home. Our kids are about to explode waiting for the big Christmas morning to arrive!

Thanks to the Hookhams for bringing our donuts this morning! We even had a separate Kolache set aside for a special guest who was planning to make it, but, alas, his youngster came down with an illness. We're still looking for a snacks volunteer next week. Any takers?!

Let's jump to our prayers and praises:

Lots of people in our class are traveling this week. Please pray for safe travel for everyone. I know for sure that all of the following people are traveling (and I'm sure I've missed someone!): Nicholsons, Hookhams, Ericksons, Jantzes, McCrarys, and Nulls.

Please continue to pray for Shelley Buhner's family. As I mentioned before, her step-grandfather passed away earlier this week.

We need to continue to pray that Zachary May will get to feeling better soon.

Elizabeth Nemec would like for us to pray for her brother's family. They are going through some difficult times right now. We also need to pray for Jillian. She is not feeling well.

Let's continue to pray for Amy Nicholson. She is making steady improvement with her shoulder, but she needs our prayers that she will continue to get better every day.

Camden Coltrain came down with a sickness this morning. Please pray that he will get better before Christmas day.

Finally, we need to pray for Vince E.'s sister and brother-in-law. They are traveling this week to visit Vince and his family here in Texas.

-----

I think that's all for now, everyone. I truly hope that all of you have a very enjoyable and spirit-filled Christmas. May we celebrate the birth of Christ with every mile we travel, every meal with enjoy with family, and every present we open.

God bless all of you during this sacred time.

God bless,

Wes and Dana

Prayer Request from Jennifer May

Zachary needs our prayers. He has some type of bronchial thing going on and is on an antibiotic and taking breathing treatments twice a day to hopefully avoid RSV. Please pray that the treatments work and that he gets back to good health quickly.

Thanks and Happy Holidays to All,

Jennifer May

News, Christmas Plans, and Related Stuff

Dear Friends:

Good evening, everyone! Dana and I hope that you've had a good weekend. All is well at the Null home. We're working feverishly to prepare for the big Christmas day that will be here soon.

I hope you are enjoying the photographs below of the Christmas Party. Share them with your friends! Thanks again to everyone who came!

I have one announcement before we jump into our prayers. We have planned a going away lunch for Barry and Erica on Sunday, January 13th. Plan to be there! More details later.

PRAYERS AND PRAISES

Speaking of Barry S., please pray for his Aunt Debbie. She is dealing with cancer and is currently not having very good luck with chemo. Please pray that she will have better days very soon.

Jennifer May has asked that we pray for Cameron, a little boy in her class. He has been sick lately and will be tested for RSV this week. Please pray for good news for Cameron.

Erica Sullivan has asked that we pray for her step-father, Dave. He has been sick.

Lots of folks in our class will be traveling during the next several weeks. The Jantz family leaves this week. Pray for their safe travel. I know that many others are traveling as well.

We need to continue to pray for the Mays and the Jantzes as they go through the difficult weeks of waiting to sell their homes. Pray for good news for both families soon.

I know of two birthdays this week! Jenny Jantz will celebrate her big day on Monday, and Bernie Hookham turns 21 on Tuesday. Happy Birthday, ladies!

Vince E. has asked that we pray for his sister, Andrea, and her husband, Steve. They will be traveling to Texas to visit this week. Pray that they will have a good visit and that they will travel safely.

Last but not least, let's pray for all of the people in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Iowa who have been affected by the recent snowstorms. Pray, especially, for the kids as many of them go to school in not-so-perfect conditions. Pray for safety as well.

---------

I think that takes care of matters for this week, everyone. Let's be sure to prepare ourselves for the celebration of the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Yes, let's enjoy the festivities of this time of year, but, of course, let's also remain focused on why we are doing what it is that we're doing.

May God bless all of you this week.

Wes and Dana
