Friends:
Good afternoon, all! First off, let’s say a big WELCOME to Brian Harris, who visited our class this morning. We enjoyed having you, Brian! We look forward to seeing you again next Sunday.
The next announcement I have relates to the Block Party. If you can, please take a look at the sign-up sheet to the left of this message (if you’re reading this on the blog). If you are able to work during one of the open times, please let me know and I will put you down.
Next, let’s go ahead and get to our prayers and praises.
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Please continue to pray for my friend Perry Glanzer and his wife Rhonda. Rhonda had a set-back this past week with her sickness. Thank you for praying for strength and healing for Rhonda. More details here.
Of course, let’s ask God to be with our friends who are in Peru. Brian, Wayne, and the rest of the crew left on Friday and will return home next Saturday. Pray for their safe travel and pray that they will make the kind of impact that God expects.
Jackson Jacque is home sick today. Pray for Russ and Kayla as they help to get Jackson back to full health.
Kris Tooley’s younger sister Shannon needs our prayers. She is living in Seattle and is 7 ½ months pregnant. Her husband also was just recently deployed overseas. Please pray for Shannon and for the baby that she is carrying.
Jennifer May brought a praise this morning that her new aid is working out just fine. Glad to hear it, Jennifer! Please continue to pray that things will go smoothly for Jennifer and her little pre-K youngsters.
Mary Erickson celebrated her birthday yesterday. Happy Birthday, Mary!
Also on the birthday front, Jen Burney’s birthday will be this week. Praise God for another great year, Jen!
We also need to pray for Emily Burney. She recently began school at a new charter school here in town. Please pray for Emily and for her teachers as they get the school year started.
Shelley Buhner has asked that we pray for her friend Michelle Manning. Michelle is in the hospital and is 30 weeks pregnant. She will be on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy. Please pray for Michelle and this little baby during these crucial weeks of pregnancy. Pray for health and strength for both of them.
We need to continue to pray for Melody Libby as she gets over her eye infection. We’re praying for you, Melody!
The Mays still have their home on the market. They also will break ground soon on their new home. Please pray that God will be with Steve and Jennifer as they make decisions and as they go through this time of change.
Bernie Hookham brought a praise this morning that the new addition at Providence Hospital, which she has been working on for some time, is finally done! It sounds as though everyone is quite excited about the new addition. Praise God for this great work, Bernie!
Praise God for Bella Bartram! We were delighted to have Bella with us this morning. Brian and Pam would like to thank everyone for the meals and prayers during the last few weeks. We were honored to do it, Bartrams! Bella is a precious young lady. She didn’t make a sound during our entire class this morning!
Teresa Sullivan has asked that we pray for all of the teachers and students who are coming into contact with lots of sicknesses these days. Pray for health for the students and teachers.
Also for the Sullivans, we need to pray for Ben as he heads back to work with his oil field job tomorrow. Pray for safe travel and safe work for Ben.
Salley T. has asked that we continue to pray for Haley and Jordan. The good news is that Haley has begun with a much smoother start this school year. Pray that things will continue to go smoothly for both Haley and Jordan in the weeks ahead.

I think that takes care of our prayers and praises this Sunday, everyone. Don’t forget about the Block Party on Wednesday afternoon! This event is always a very exciting time for our church, our class, and especially for our kids.
Have a great week, everyone!
God bless,
Wes and Dana
