Friends:
Good evening, everyone! I'm sure at least half of you are glued to the TV watching the Cowboys vs. Bears matchup. At the very least, I suspect that Steve May is holed up in a room by himself so as not to miss any of the action!
Thanks to the Tooleys! Brooke and Kris brought us some delicious kolaches this morning. We appreciate it, Tooleys! Next week, the Mays are in charge. Thanks, Steve and Jennifer.
We have lots of prayers and praises this week, so let's get right to it:
I would like for all of you to continue to pray for my friend Perry Glanzer and his wife Rhonda. Rhonda is still having lots of trouble. She is headed back to the hospital this week for more treatments. Click here for more details.
The Sullivans are back! I just saw Barry about an hour ago as Raegan and I were riding bicycles around the neighborhood. Barry reports that they had a great trip. They even got to swim with several 40 feet long whale sharks! Wimps not allowed. Let's praise God for a great trip for Barry and Erica.
Ben Sullivan has asked that we pray for his friend Aaron. Aaron's grandmother has been in the hospital for almost 6 months following an accident. Aaron has been dealing with other family problems as well. Please pray for better days for Aaron and his family.
Teresa Sullivan is still not feeling well. She has some sort of upper respiratory infection. Please pray for better health for Teresa.
Also on the Sullivan front, Ben is searching for a new position at work that might be a bit better than what he currently has. Please pray for discernment and God's guidance for the Sullivans.
Happy Birthday Benjamin May! That's right, he will turn 11 on Tuesday. Just think, Steve, Benjamin will be eligible to vote soon!
The Burneys have asked that we continue to pray for their daughter Emily and her new school. Pray that Emily will have a good week at school. Also with the Burneys, they had a scare this week when one of their dogs escaped. Praise God that their neighbor didn't haul the dog to the pound!
The Ericksons are celebrating a big day this week. They turned in their official papers to adopt a baby from China one year ago this week. Please pray for Vince and Mary as they go through this difficult time of waiting. Pray for patience, support, and God's guidance as they go through this process.
Also on the adoption front, let's continue to pray for Brian and Jill VanZee. They are currently waiting to hear more from a local adoption as well. Please pray that God will be with Jill and Brian as they wait as well.
Jennifer Fadal has asked us to pray for her friend Desiree. Desiree and her husband are looking to adopt a baby in the not too distant future as well. Pray for good news and a successful adoption for Desiree and her husband.
Last but not least, we need to pray for the Reed family. They live in our neighborhood (meaning the same neighborhood as us Nulls, the Nemecs, and the Sullivans). Landry Reed, their 2 year old son, has been having lots of difficulties with antibiotics. They have tried almost every antibiotic possible, and Landry has had a reaction to everything that he has taken. Please pray that the physicians will find something to help Landry. If not, please pray that he will stay free of any infections.
------------
That does it for our prayers and praises for this Sunday, everyone. We only have one chapter left in the Warren book, which means that, two weeks from today, we will be starting a new book. Sometime this week, I will send a message that includes information about several books that we are considering for our next journey.
Dana and I hope that all of you have a great week! We look forward to seeing you next Sunday.
God bless,
Wes and Dana
