Fall Has Begun: Prayers, Prayers and Related Stuff

Friends:

Good afternoon, all! I hope that all of you are having a great weekend. Our fall is off to a great start with a successful Block Party and a safe return home for the Peru folks. Welcome back, Brian, Wayne, and everyone else! May God bless your terrific efforts.

Let’s thank the Nemecs—David and Elizabeth—for bringing our snacks this morning. We appreciate it, folks! We also want to thank Ashlee and David McCrary for bringing us some extra goodies this morning. We appreciate it, Ashlee and David! Next week, Kris and Brooke Tooley are in charge of our snacks. Thanks, Brooke and Kris!

Next, let’s go ahead and get to our prayers and praises:

Erica Sullivan would like for us to pray for one of her co-workers, Cindy Raftery. Cindy had a heart attack earlier this week. She remains in ICU. Please pray for Cindy’s complete and speedy recovery.

Salley T. has asked us to pray for Haley and Jordan. They will soon be transferring to Lake Waco Montessori School. Salley is quite pleased with this change, but we need to pray for Haley and Jordan as they make the transition.

The Sullivans are headed on a trip! That’s right, they are headed to South Padre for a bit of relaxation time. Please pray for safe travel for Barry and Erica (and pray that Barry will stay clear of the sharks. Well, now that I think about it Barry, you should become a shark fisherman! Maybe you could combine your interests in scuba diving and hunting somehow?! You need a shark on your wall!).

Ms. Shelley Buhner has come down with some sort of sickness this weekend. Please pray that Shelley will feel better soon. We’re praying for you, Shelley B.!

We need to pray for Dillan Nemec. It looks as though he has something called a “hydrocell”. Elizabeth reports that the situation is not altogether serious, but we need to pray for Dillan as they make plans to visit a urologist soon.

The Rogers duo would like to say a praise that Dan McGee is doing a bit better. Please ask God to continue to be with Dan as he gets stronger each day. See you in the morning, Dan!

Vince E. has asked that we continue to pray for his friends Cole and Iva. They learned this week that they may need to adopt a third child in order to keep their first two. Please ask that God continue to be involved in their lives. Pray that they will continue to be a stable home for these young kids.

On that note, I believe that Sean and Cece are now taking care of two new children. Please continue to pray for the Livelys. We are praying for you, Sean and Cece!

Jennifer May has asked that we pray for her school as they look to hire a new Pre-K teacher. Pray that God will help them to find exactly the kind of person that the school needs. Pray, also, for the kids while some of them transition to a new teacher.

I would like for all of us to continue to pray for Perry and Rhonda Glanzer. Rhonda is making some progress, but her days are still quite tough.

Let’s all say a big praise for the great work that the Peru team has done. I know that I speak for all of us when I say that we are proud of our church’s efforts to help the Peruvians. Brian, Wayne, and crew, we’ve been praying for you guys!

Last but not least, let’s say a prayer for Ashlee and David McCrary. Their baby is due to arrive in about 5 weeks. Please pray for Ashlee during these final weeks of pregnancy. Pray, also, for their little baby who will be here soon. We’re praying for you guys, McCrarys!

------------

I think that covers our prayers and praises for this Sunday, all. Please let me know if I have forgotten anything. Dana and I hope that all of you have a great week.

See you next Sunday morning!

God bless,

Wes and Dana
