Good evening, all! Hope you've had a great weekend. Us Nulls even managed to get some flowers planted in the yard. Thank God for this great weather! My parents tell me that the wind has been blowing 50 mph every day in New Mexico. For now, I guess we should all be happy that we live here in Central Texas. Then again, July and August aren't far off . . . .
Thanks to us Nulls! We brought the donuts this morning. Next week, Steven and Jennifer Owens are in charge. Thanks, Owens family!
Before prayers, we have one big announcement today about the VanZee brisket cookout that will take place on May 3 at 5:00 p.m. I plan to send details in a separate message (to make sure I get your attention!).
Now, on to prayers and praises. Several of our families are going through difficult times. Here are messages from Amy, Elizabeth, and Teresa, respectively, about the good and bad going on in their lives. Thank you for praying for them.
FROM AMY NICHOLSON:
Wes:
It has been a very crazy last 72 hours for us. My grandaddy passed away Friday night and my brother and in his wife had their sweet baby boy yesterday afternoon after a long and sticky labor situation. We are on our way up to Wichita Falls today after coming back from Fort Worth yesterday. Although it has been very stressful, all is now well and we are all breathing a little better today. Hope today goes well.
Thanks,
Amy

FROM ELIZABETH NEMEC:
Just a quick note on the Nemecs. Would appreciate prayers. We've had the stomach bug run through our house again for about a week now. We've all had it at this point. Dylan came down with it again last Monday, and as of today, it looks like he's still not done with it. We're exhausted and really could use some extra prayers.
Blessings

FROM TERESA SULLIVAN:
Hey Wes! I hope your afternoon is going well. Ben and I will not be in Sunday School tomorrow because I am taking Ben to Granbury (the first step in his trip back to work). I do have a couple of prayer requests that I was hoping you could add to the list tomorrow.
First, Ben's brother, Jim, will be leaving Friday, April 25th, for a mission trip with his church to Brazil. Please pray for their safe trip and that they will be able to spread the gospel in a small village in Brazil.
Second, my mother recently decided to leave her job and seek other employment. It was a bad situation all around. Even though she feels better about not going there anymore, my parents are now tight on the budget until my mom can find a new job. Please pray that God's will will be done in her search.
Lastly, my grandmother will be turning 82 in May. She has currently been in and out of the hospital due to dehydration. (She is the same grandmother that had seizures that were untreated for at least two weeks.) We know that she will have to leave us soon, but it is still hard on the family. Please pray for the passing to be painless for her and not so hard for the family.
Thanks so much Wes. Wish everyone a good week and I will see you all next Sunday.

As you can see, we need to pray for the Nicholsons, the Nemecs, and the Sullivans. Great news about the new baby in Amy's family! Please pray for this little one as well. As for the Nemecs, those of us who have dealt with the stomach bug recently know how bad this can be. Hang in there, Elizabeth and David. At our house, Gatorade, chicken noodle soup, and saltine crackers seemed to help. From Teresa, we can see how many things we need to pray for there. Teresa doesn't mention it, but we always need to pray for safety for Ben as well. We're always here for you, Teresa, if you need something. Just call.
Also on the prayer front, please continue to pray for Vince's friends Cole and Iva. The trial continues to drag on. Pray for a resolution soon and for positive news.
We also need to pray for safe travel for Vince. He's headed to Arkansas for some much deserved vacation and rest time. Pray for a good trip and some renewal for Vince.

I think that takes care of matters for this Sunday (with the exception of the VanZee event). Have a great week, everyone! We'll look forward to seeing you next Sunday morning.
