Friends:
Good evening, all! Well, after a full day looking after two crazy kids, I’ve finally found time to write this here message. But, first, an interruption:
Way to go Baylor Men’s basketball team! Rumor has it that the squad just beat Notre Dame in some tournament in the Virgin Islands. I am quite certain that Khalil Coltrain is entirely responsible for this victory. In fact, Khalil was 4/5 from 3-point range and finished the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists, and 8 fouls. Way to go, Khalil! Seriously, I believe the Bears will play for the championship of the tournament tomorrow. Go get ‘em, Khalil and friends!
Next, let’s thank the Mays for bringing our donuts this morning. We appreciate it, Steve and Jennifer! At press time, we do not currently have anyone signed up for next week. Any takers?!?!?!
Let’s go ahead and get to our prayers and praises:
Dana and Bernie are in Dallas today. Pray for their safe return home (any minute, I think!).
Please continue to pray for Amy Nicholson’s recovery. We’re praying for you, Amy! Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to take a meal to the Nicholsons. Please let us know how else we can help you, Brian and Amy! We are here for you while you recover.
Let’s continue to pray for the McCrarys and their new little one as they begin their lives together as a family.
We need to continue to pray for safety for Ben Sullivan.
Vince has asked that we keep his friends Cole and Iva and their boys in our prayers. Pray for patience for Cole and Iva as they wait for closure on this long ordeal with the boys.
Also on the Vince note, today is Vince’s birthday! He has at last turned 21. Way to go, Vince!
Greg H. and I would like for everyone to pray for our friend Fred Curtis. He continues to recover from several surgeries that he has had related to kidney problems.
Many people from our class are traveling this week. Please pray for safe travel for: the Jantzes (to Kansas), us Nulls (to New Mexico), Mary Erickson (to LA), the Nicholsons (to Wichita Falls), and many others that I’m sure I don’t know about!
Last but not least, please continue to pray for the Mays and Jantzes as they deal with the stress of trying to sell their homes. Please pray that God will comfort these two families during this difficult time of waiting.
-----------
I think that takes care of our prayers and praises for this week. Dana and I hope that all of you have a great week. We will not return to Waco until next Sunday. Thanks to Steve May for agreeing to teach the class next week!
This Thanksgiving holiday, let’s be sure to thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for everything that he has given to us. May all of you have a great week!
Wes and Dana
P.S.—Sometime this week, I will send an email will all of the details about our Christmas Party on Dec 14th. Details coming soon!
