I want to say thank you to everyone for your prayers. I just had an eye-opener during the church sermon. It really hit me that I have commitment issues stemming from my divorce a year ago as well as problems with the church I used to attend in Florida. I have been a visitor at FUMC all summer long. I have been afraid to re-commit my life to God. I knew that if I joined a church, then commitment to the Lord was part of the deal. I wasn't sure I was ready to take that step. But, I am ready now and will be joining the church next Sunday. (I am going to visit the new class they are starting downstairs afterward so I won't be in class with you guys that day.) I wanted to share my decision with you all because you have made me feel so welcome, and I believe that your prayers have helped give me the courage to step away from the things that were preventing me from having the relationship God that I need to have.
