Friends:
Good evening, all. I hope you’ve enjoyed your weekend. Believe it or not, December has arrived, which means that Christmas will be here in just over three weeks. Can you believe it? Unbelievable!
First, let’s thank Greg and Courtney Hudson for bringing our snacks today. We had Panera Bread bagels, believe it or not! Great stuff, I must say. We appreciate it, Hudsons. Next week, Franci and Robbie Rogers will be taking care of us. Thanks, F and R!
I hope all of you enjoyed watching the children sing this morning as much as we did. I have some good video, which I plan to try and upload sometime this week. I hope I can figure it out! Tips, anyone?
PRAYERS AND PRAISES
Let’s go ahead and get to our prayers and praises:
As I mentioned in my message yesterday, please keep the family of Dr. Fred Curtis in your prayers. His funeral is tomorrow afternoon.
We need to pray for Amy Nicholson as she continues to recover from her shoulder surgery. Amy is doing okay, but she had a minor setback earlier this week. Please pray for continued improvement for Amy. We’re praying for you, Amy!
Next, we need to pray for Ben Sullivan as he heads back out to sea for work on Tuesday. Pray for his safe travel and for his safety at work. Pray, also, for Teresa and the kids.
Also on the B & T Sullivan front, we need to pray for Teresa’s school. They are currently searching for a new principal. Pray that they will find the right person.
Vince E. has asked that we keep his friends Cole and Iva in our prayers. They continue to deal with difficulties in finalizing the adoption of the two young boys they now have. Please pray for God’s guidance for everyone who is making decision on behalf of these kids. Pray, also, for a speedy resolution.
We also need to continue to pray for the great news for Vince and Mary! As Mary mentioned in her note late last week, they have moved a step closer to getting a baby from China. Please continue to pray that the process will move along smoothly and as quickly as possible. Pray, also, for patience for Vince and Mary. Hang in there, Mary!
Last but not least, Mr. Brian VanZee is hunting elk in the great state of New Mexico (“I salute the flag of the state of New Mexico, the Zia symbol of perfect friendship . . . ). Oops, sorry, I resorted back to my elementary school days, when I recited the New Mexico pledge every day. Please pray for Brian’s safe return home this week. Please pray, also, for Miss Breeley who is missing Daddy!
--------
I think that covers matters for this Sunday, everyone. Sometime this week, I plan to send an update about the Christmas party. I have already heard from many of you that you will be there. I think we’ll have a big crowd! If you haven’t done so already, please email me to let me know whether or not you will be able to attend.
Have a great week, everyone.
God bless,
Wes and Dana
